We have tried to make our WEB site as informative as possible but you will no doubt have further questions. Here are a few common questions and answers. If you still don't find what you are looking for you know where we are
Q: Does Brighton Sailing Club run RYA sailing courses?
A: No, but Hove Lagoon Watersports, just 5km to the west, run RYA courses in dinghy sailing, windsurfing and just about everything else. They also run courses tailored for children.

Q: The club is "run by its members for its members". What does this mean to me ?
A: The club wants members to enjoy their sailing but also to get involved in the running of the club. Each member will perform 1 or 2 race duties each year and 1 or 2 bar duties. There are numerous other tasks involved in running a club of this nature and the more you put in the more you'll enjoy it!

Q: Can I hire a boat for the day ?
A: Sorry, all the boats are privately owned and not for hire.It might be worth having a chat with Hove Lagoon Watersports or some of the other commercial sailing ventures based in the Brighton Marina (just google "Sailing Brighton Marina").

Q: I sailed quite a bit when I was younger and want to get back into it. How do I go about this ?
A: Many of the boats we sail require a crew. Although some of the boats have regular crew there are often opportunities to fill in. Come along and talk to us for more information.

Q: Do I have to own my own boat ?
A: No, as per the last answer there are often crew spots available. Come down and talk to us.
