Updated: Jun 27, 2024

This is a short guide to returning to shore and putting pool boats away.

  2. If you do get sideways, it is dangerous to be in the water between the boat and the shore.

  3. Always stay on the other side.

After Landing

  1. Open the drain plug and empty out any water.

  2. If there is more than a litre, let the Pool Boat Manager know which boat this is.

  3. Pull the boat up using one of the two winches.

  4. Lasers need to be on a sledge or trolley.

Putting things away

  1. Put everything back as you found it.

  2. Laser cunnninghams stay with the mast.

  3. Booms: the ropes should be tied onto the boom with a simple overhand knot. You can use the clew strap to help if it is a laser.

  4. Please do not leave your boom on the rack with the ropes dangling down.

Reporting a breakage

  1. If anything is broken, let the pool boat manager know.

  2. If it is not part of the deck, leave it on the floor under the boom rack.

When everything is put away enjoy the social life at the clubhouse.
