Our Boats

When

​Sailing on poolboats is only allowed when the safety boat is out. 

Learn to Sail 

  • Saturday Mornings ​11am

 

All:

  • Saturday 2pm

  • Wednesdays 5pm  later in the summer

  • Sundays 10am


As with all sailing, this is dependent on the weather, availability of a pool boat manager and rescue helm and crew.

HOW DO i TAKE A POOL BOAT

  • You should book a pool boat online

  • Talk to the pool boat manager. They will  talk through everything you need to know to take out a pool boat including all safety measures.

  • ⚠️It is very important for your own safety that you sign the sheet and get it countersigned by the pool boat manager.

  • This is to ensure that we know who is out and make sure everyone is back safely.

You can pay via: 

  • The card machine in the race hut, or at the bar (please enter £6.01)​T

  • There are also QR codes in various locations in the club (race hut, changing rooms, bar)

  • Pay online 👇 

How to Book

Sign in

  • Sign and date the sign-up sheet. It hangs on a clip board in the hut on the beach.

  • ⚠️The Pool Boat Manager MUST countersign.

get the kit

  • Unlock a boat using the keys that are stored on a hook under the sign-up sheet.

  • The boats are stored in a rack beside the hut.

  • The dagger boards and rudders are in a storage bin behind the rack.

  • The Topaz and Pico masts are stored with their sails on in the storage arch under the road, which you can open with your key fob.

  • Everything else is in the hut.

rigging and launching

  • Rig your boat

  • Launch your boat and enjoy the freedom of the sea

sign out and pack up

  • Sign-out so we know everyone is back safely 

  • When you are finished return everything to where it came from.

  • Ropes tied up neatly.

  • The pool boat manager can show you how.

  • Pease remember to lock up!
